Grand Night for Singing

A SHOW packed with Rodgers and Hammerstein favourites promises a grand night out in Harpenden this week.

Harpenden Light Operatic Society (HLOS) takes a different direction with their spring show this year, by staging the stunning musical extravaganza A Grand Night for Singing until Saturday, March 31 at the Public Halls.

This compilation show features well-known Rodgers and Hammerstein classics from Oklahoma! to South Pacific, and The King and I to The Sound of Music, but with new, fresh musical arrangements by Fred Wells.

Sally Davis returns as director with Izzy Bates as musical director following her highly successful musical direction of Guys and Dolls last October.

Tickets are available online at www.hlos.ticketsource.co.uk, by email from hlostickets@live.co.uk or by calling 07817 331150.

Performances are at 8pm nightly until Saturday, with a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.

Prices range from £9 to £14.

Concessions are available for the Saturday matinee.
