Three bands and a teenage singer/songwriter will be taking part in the next Live Music Project gig at Trestle Arts Base in St Albans next Saturday, February 22,

New Soul Rebel, The Metatrons, Branded Jacks and Emma McGrath will be appearing at the free gig at the base in Russet Drive.

Headlining are New Soul Rebel, described as a hidden gem in the St Albans music scene having quietly emerged over the past 12 years.

The three-piece blend of indie and guitars, fused with sub-bass undertones is similar to the more stripped back sounds of bands like The Jam and The Police.

The Metatrons, a four piece from Hitchin and St Albans formed in 2009, cite their musical influences as 80s noise pop with tune and the punk/new wave that preceeded it – all covered with a layer of 50s bubblegum pop with a 60s Spector-ish sway.

Branded Jacks are a three-piece band from St Albans bringing a combination of Mumford and Sons, Lumineers and Bastille-influenced music.

Also playing is 14-year- old singer songwriter Emma McGrath, who has already played at gigs and festivals all over the county.
