A re-imagining of Herman Melville’s seminal novel Moby Dick can be seen in dance at the Weston Auditorium of the University of Herts next Tuesday, November 29.

Leviathan is the work of UHArts and multi award-winning choreographer James Wilton and features a cast of seven demonstrating his trademark blend of dance, martial arts, capoeira and partner-work.

The performance at 7.30pm, which concludes a national tour, is accompanied by an electro-rock soundtrack by Lunatic Soul.

It is suitable for young people aged 12 and upwards and tickets are £10 with concessions £8, available from the box office on 01707 281127 or online.

December Discoveries, featuring well-known works by popular composers, are being performed by the de Havilland Philharmonic Orchestra next Sunday, December 4.

The programme will include Beethoven’s King Stephen Overture and Mendelssohn’s Symphony No 3 (Scottish), together with Dvorak’s Violin Concerto for which British violinist Jennifer Pike, the youngest-ever BBC Young Musician of the Year, will join the orchestra..

The concert is being held at the Weston Auditorium at the University of Herts in Hatfield and tickets are £20 with concessions £15, children £8, students £6 and family £36.
