Popular quintet Jump Monk return to Herts Jazz Club this Sunday, May 22.

Led by bassist Arnie Somogyi, the quintet pays tribute to two of his musical idols, Charles Mingus and Thelonious Monk.

In a slight change in personnel from their last visit, the music of Mingus and Monk comes to life through the playing of Arnie, bass, Andy Panayi, saxes, Jeremy Price, trombone, Liam Noble, piano, and Clark Tracey, drums.

The evening at the Hawthorne Theatre in Welwyn Garden City, starts at 7.30pm. Tickets in advance are £3 students/£8 members/£10 concessions/£11 full.

On the door they are £5 students/£9 members/£12 concessions/£13 full.
