It will be the end of an era in Welwyn Garden City this weekend as a music club hosts its final gig before moving to St Albans.

The final Herts Jazz gig in WGC will take place on Sunday night.

And the club’s last concert at the Garden City Cinema ahead of its move to the Maltings Arts Theatre promises to be a cracker.

Postponed last December due to the snow, Two of a Mind is Sunday’s treat in Screen 2 of the CW Entertainment complex in The Campus.

The March 25 show will feature the two-pronged sax attack of Chris Biscoe and Allison Neale.

Joining them on stage will be Jeremy Brown on bass and Stu Butterfield on drums.

This excellent group will be exploring afresh the freewheeling, wonderfully melodic interpretations of standard material recorded 50 years ago by Gerry Mulligan and Paul Desmond on Blues in Time and Two of a Mind.

Advance tickets cost £5 students, £10 members, £12 concessions and £13 full.

Walk-ups are £7 students, £11 members, £14 concessions and £15 full. The gig starts at 7.30pm.

A Herts Jazz spokesman said: “Sadly this will be our final gig in Welwyn Garden City.

“From April 3 we will be presenting our gigs on Tuesdays at The Maltings Arts Theatre, St Albans.”
