THE Cat in the Hat and many more characters from the Dr Seuss books are coming to life on the stage of the Abbey Theatre in St Albans from today.

Talented youngsters from St Albans Youth Music Theatre are putting on Seussical the Musical until Saturday evening.

Seussical the Musical follows Horton the Elephant, Mayzie la Bird, Gertrude McFuzz, the Cat in the Hat and many more on a musical adventure inspired by the Dr Seuss books.

Among the 20 catchy songs is one about Green Eggs - particularly pertinent for the Easter period.

The show can be seen at 8pm each night with a Saturday matinee at 3pm. Tickets are from £7 to £8.50, available from the box office on 01727 857861 or online at www.abbeytheatre2.org.uk
