New Harpenden Mayor Mary Maynard made one of her first public appearances at a performance of Matilda by the Penny Waterman School of Dance.

Youngsters aged from three to adults put on two performances of Matilda last Sunday, May 18, at Harpenden Public Halls.

Members of the musical theatre classes joined together with the ballet, street dance and adult classes for the two performances, the second of which was watched by the Mayor who commented on how professional the children were.
