PUBLISHED: 13:47 10 July 2014

Mid Herts Golf Club professional Lucy Williams has been drafted into the 2014 Ricoh Women’s British Open in place of injured Lizette Salas.

The 24-year-old was first reserve for the competition after narrowly missing out on the last qualifying spot for the competition to Australia’s Bree Arthur. But she got her chance when the American dropped out.

The competition starts at 1pm today at Royal Birkdale in Southport.
