St Albans City’s Sam Merson has picked up the Harpenden Construction Limited-sponsored player of the month award for October.

Merson was in sensational form throughout the month, scoring six goals in four games as City won all of their five matches.

He received his prize from long-standing Saints supporter Ian Oakley, on behalf of the Saints City Trust, who are sponsors of the October award.
