St Albans’ Nick Isiekwe is happy to line-up in any position for Saracens – as long as he plays.

The versatile and hugely talented forward was used at both lock and in the back row last season in a breakthrough season at Allianz Park which saw him named the club’s young player of the season.

And he will continue to do so this term if required.

Speaking to the club’s website the former Verulamians and Old Albanian junior said: “I’m happy to play in multiple positions, it doesn’t matter to me. I’m happy to play wherever the coach sees fit.

“There are a lot of similarities between the two. Both positions are demanding and require you to push on as hard as you can.”

The 20-year-old spent part of the summer on tour with England in South Africa but he is pleased to be back at Woollams.

“I love training and getting stuck in so it’s always good to come back from time off and get stuck in straight away.

“It’s been good to get back into it with the boys, meet up and discuss what we need to do going forward and what we need to improve on.”
