Saracens will begin the newly-named Gallagher Premiership rugby season with a trip to the northern outpost of the league – when they take on Newcastle Falcons.

Fresh from their triumph over Exeter Chiefs at Twickenham in May, Sarries will play last-year’s surprise package at Kingston Park on Sunday, September 2.

It will be the first trip to the north-east for two years after last year’s ‘away’ game was played in Philadelphia.

The USA still figures heavily in the Men in Black’s calendar this year with the clash with Harlequins at The Stoop on October 6 set to be shown live by NBC, the first time for the league on network TV in the US.

The first game at Allianz Park will take place on September 8 when newly-promoted Bristol Bears are the visitors and Saracens’ home game over the Christmas period will bring Worcester Warriors to NW4 on December 29.

The last home game of the year will be a repeat of the Premiership final while the final game of the regular season is the return fixture with the Warriors.

“We are all excited about the upcoming season and the Gallagher Premiership rugby fixtures coming out certainly adds to the anticipation,” said Mark McCall, Saracens’ director of rugby.
