Harpenden duo get gold

FLORA Hanson and Morgan Pugh continued their impressive form for Harpenden at the County Championships.

Swimmers from the Harpenden club competed in 52 races during the second weekend of the competition and collected 14 medals and 29 personal bests.

Morgan Pugh starred again, taking gold in the 100m fly in the Youths Championship and silver in the same event in the Junior Championship. Morgan also collected silver for his 200m backstroke in the Youth and bronze for the same event in the junior Champs.

Flora Hanson picked up gold for her 200m individual medley and finished first in the 400m individual medley to add to her collection. Abby Smith took two silvers (50m breaststroke and 100m freestyle) and a bronze (200m individual medley), whilst other medallists were Georgie Smith (silver), Michael Revell (bronze), Eric Baker (silver) and Connie Green (silver).
