Frozen pitch puts paid to Herts Senior Cup tie

COLNEY Heath’s Herts Senior Cup tie at Ware tonight (Tuesday) has been postponed due to a frozen pitch.

It’s Heath’s second game in four days to fall foul of the weather after the Magpies’ league game at Holmer Green on Saturday also failed to beat the big freeze.

Heath’s home game against Leverstock Green scheduled for this Saturday has also been postponed, as the opposition’s FA Vase game which was scheduled for last Saturday will now take place on that date. The Magpies have moved quickly to fill that void and will now be at home against Oxhey Jets, kick-off 3pm.

Being ill sucks. No matter what’s got you down – the flu, a broken bone, diabetes, cancer – it’s a horrible place to be. Your body is weaker and less capable. The drugs you take mess with your mind and your moods and sometimes can make you feel even worse than when you started. Mental ill-health is no different. The brain is an organ, and like any organ, it doesn’t always function to the medical standard of “normal”. Mine certainly doesn’t.
