St Peter's FC are facing a fixture backlog after their game against Garston outfit Old Parmiterians, along with every other fixture in the Herts Senior County League, was victim to the weather.

The fixture was always in doubt following a week of adverse weather conditions and was finally declared off on Friday afternoon.

The club is very concerned that there are very few games being played at the moment and, with seven games postponed, they are already have to fit in 13 league games before the end of April, with just 11 Saturdays left in that time.

Club officials have contacted Hatfield and Welwyn Council and have agreed an extension for the use of the pitch at Lemsford.

The Saints travel to Allenburys Sports on Saturday (k.o 2.30pm).
