The match, the first since the festive break, was closely contested in the opening 10 minutes but AFC Mymms started to dominate and went ahead with an absolute screamer from 20 yards by Sedin Mustafic.

From there Ashley Fongho took over, adding a brace either side of half-time.

Louis Frederick, Mymms’ star player, was rewarded with a cheeky ‘Cruyff’ flick goal before Mustafic added his second after a fantastic solo run.

Substitute Alex White completed the rout.

Marshalswick Rovers contrived to lose 2-1 to Brookmans Park ‘A’ after a number of missed chances. Park took the lead early through Jack Galloway only for Luke Tremlett to equalise. However, a Dom Woolard goal 15 minutes from time gave Brookmans the win.

The Mill threw away a 4-1 lead against CHL with 15 minutes to go to draw 4-4. Mill’s goals came from Jason Nicoloue (two), Emilio Difonzo and an own goal.

Queens Head came away with all three points with a 5-0 Premier Division victory over Nascot Arms. Jack Woods led the way with a hat-trick with the remainder coming from Scott Bailey and an own goal.

Stonewood had to take three reserve team players to make up the numbers against Phoenix yet still picked up a hard-fought 2-1 win. They took the lead through Dan Hedges before Ali Hill equalised in the second half. But a late Seamus Kerwick free-kick secured the three points.

Skew Bridge took the game to AFC Rangers from the off, running out 6-2 winners. James Ewington stole the headlines hitting the first five Skew goals before Ben Warren added number six, although he was also guilty of missing a late penalty.

Billy Smith and Marino Savva scored for Rangers with Dan Lovett their star player.

In Division One Ally Collins hit a hat-trick for Garston Panthers but was still on the losing side as they went down 9-3 to Brookmans Park. Callum Baylis, Drew Botterman and Ray Antcliff all got two with one each for Dan Moss and Tom Hart.

Blacksmiths Arms edged Skew Bridge Res 2-1 in a tight affair. Aidan Golds opened the scoring before Skew equalised through William Bates. The second half was just as even but Golds was able to grab the winner for the Arms.

An outstanding display by Dave French plus a Gramos Hysenay goal couldn’t save Facelad going down 6-1 against Six Bells. Yasin Boodhoo scored three with Ben Awad two and Aaron Ames one.

A competent performance by the Harpenden Colts Old Boys after conceding an early goal saw them triumph 3-1 over Phoenix Res in Division Two. James Bosley, Ben Hutton and Brandon Whitman got their goals with Hutton their star man. Shenahl Samarasinghe replied for Phoenix who named Dale Etherington as their man of the match.

A Patrick Doherty goal earned league leaders Brookmans Park Res a share of the spoils in a 1-1 draw against Chequers Inn. Joe Geddes scored for Inn.

In a five-goal thriller, Snug Bar came out on top 3-2 against Wheathampstead ‘89. Goals came from a Alex Songaila brace and Johnny Brown single while Duncan Gray netted both Wheato goals.

Nicholas Breakspear Res completed the double over BWSC by the same 4-1 scoreline as earlier in the season. Sam Leeson scored for BWSC.

Division Three league leaders, Harpenden Rovers Blue, completed the double over Royston Rangers with a 3-1 success. Man of the match George Naismith and a brace by Tom Simmonds completed the win.

St Albans Irish defeated Oaks by the odd goal, winning 2-1. James Moule and Jordan Cocomazzi were the men on target for the Irish while Danny Jones replied for Oaks.

A good start to the New Year saw Athletico Quat run out 4-2 winners against Jolly Sailor. A hat-trick and man of the match performance from Scott Cockfield along with one from Darren Cavaree sealed their victory.
