The opening rounds of the FA Youth Cup have been drawn with plenty of interest across Hertfordshire.

In the preliminary round there are home ties for Biggleswade Town, Royston Town and Hitchin Town.

They will play Huntingdon Town, Redbridge and Little Oakley respectively.

Biggleswade United go to Cogenhoe United while Potters Bar Town travel to Saffron Walden Town.

Colney Heath are also on their travels with a trip to Kings Langley.

Those ties will be played in the week commencing September 4.

The first round qualifying sees St Albans City and Codicote join in.

City will go to the winners of Bedfont Sports or Winslow United while Cod visit Tilbury.

And should the two Biggleswade sides win in the preliminary round, they will face each other at Town’s Carlsberg Stadium.

Those fixtures will be in the week starting September 18.

Stevenage are exempt until the first round proper.

All will be hoping to replicate Hertfordshire neighbours FC Broxbourne Borough who were reached the fifth round proper last season before bowing out to Aston Villa.
