THE LEADBITTER Group has signed a one-year deal to become St Albans City's main club sponsors.

City chairman John Gibson, who has been acting as a consultant for Leadbitter, told the club's official website: "This is a great deal for all parties. With the changes that have been going on recently the support from Leadbitter will prove to be invaluable. As a company Leadbitter is very much into supporting and giving something back to the community and they are well aware of the efforts of St Albans City in this regard. They like the work that we do with local organisations and schools and want to be part of this. Their generosity and support is greatly appreciated."

The Oxfordshire-based construction company has an option to extend the deal for a second year.
