Man found dead in London Colney

A man in his 40s has been found dead in London Colney this morning.

Police were called at 8.40am today to an address on Haseldine Road as people were concerned about a man who lived there.

The ambulance service and officers came, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.

One of my favourite summer activities as a child was pond-dipping. I was fortunate enough to grow up in a house with a fairly large pond in the garden and so my pond-dipping activities often extended over days and weren’t as much dipping as a thorough exploration of the life in the pond.
