As temperatures plummet, schools shut and cars skid on the road, animals at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo are also dealing with an icy plunge.

There are more than 3,000 mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish and invertebrates at the zoo - which is up high on a Dunstable green.
