St Albans will pass within inches of a thunderstorm likely to hit parts of Hertfordshire tomorrow.

The Met Office has issued a weather warning for a swathe of the United Kingdom ahead of the storm, which is predicted to hit between 11am and 8pm tomorrow.

Weather boffins have warned this could lead to power losses due to lightning strikes, train delays and flooding.
