Emergency services rushed to a three vehicle car crash in St Albans last night.

Firefighters, police officers, and paramedics were called to Watford Road, in Chiswell Green near Hammers Gate, at 8pm to deal with the collision.

There was a white Toyota Prius, a red Fiat Punto and a blue Toyota Aygo involved.

Road barriers and traffic lights were also damaged in the smash and the road was closed while Herts police dealt with the incident.

An ambulance attended the scene to treat two patients, but neither of them needed hospital treatment.

The St Albans fire crew were called to make sure the scene was safe.

Recently we, as a family (minus two of the kids), visited The Lodge RSPB reserve in Sandy, Bedfordshire. I had never been before, which is perhaps amiss of me as a birdwatcher as it is the headquarters of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds or RSPB and only 45 minutes drive from home.
