This morning St Albans commuters are facing 12 cancellations by Thameslink.

The following trains have been cancelled that were supposed to stop at St Albans Station:

• 6am Rainham (Kent) to Luton

• 6.22am Brighton to Bedford

• 6.30am Rainham (Kent) to Luton

• 6.45am East Grinstead to Bedford

• 7.04am Horsham to Bedford

• 7.52am St Albans to Sutton (Surrey)

• 8.01am Bedford to Gatwick Airport

• 8.22am Bedford to Three Bridges

• 8.30am Luton to Orpington

• 9am Luton to Orpington

• 9.16am Luton to Rainham (Kent)

• 9.22am St Albans to Sutton (Surrey)

Following the introduction of Thameslink’s new timetable this week commuters have been facing cancellations and delays all week.

A few years back I was fixing a shed in our garden and had enlisted the help of my young son. We were busy moving rotten pieces of wood from the side of the shed when suddenly I felt sharp stabbing pains in my lower legs. Before I had a chance to investigate my son started screaming in pain and it took a few more seconds to realize that we were trampling on a wasps’ nest!
