TALENTED young actress Seline Hizli is making her TV debut next week in the BBC daytime drama Land Girls.

Seline, 21, who lives in Flamstead, takes the role of Connie in the five-part period drama from BBC One Daytime which is now in its second series. The first series was screened in September last year to mark the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of the World War Two.

It focuses on the lives and loves of four young women trying to do their bit for Britain in the Women’s Land Army and Seline, who was a student at Roundwood Park School in Harpenden, plays the newcomer Connie who manages to ruffle a few feathers.

Seline, who is the daughter of Grove House community fundraiser Liz Hizli, graduated from RADA in July and filming on Land Girls started shortly afterwards. She has also appeared in a play in Coventry entitled One Night in November which was also centred on World War Two.
