Fire brigades from across the area were called to a large fire at a residential garage on Sunday.

Crews from Harpenden, Redbourn, Markyate, and Hemel Hempstead were called to the fire on Aubrey Lane in Redbourn which broke out soon after 7pm.

When crews arrived from Harpenden, Redbourn, Markyate and Hemel Hempstead, the garage was well alight and the teams spent more than two hours putting it out.

The fire in the garage, which was separate from the house and contained a car, made the roof of the building collapse.

No-one was hurt in the fire which is being treated as accidental.
