A MAN was mugged as he walked home from a night out at the weekend.

The incident happened at around 12.20am on Saturday morning along St Peter's Road in St Albans.

The 49-year-old victim was was approached from behind by a man who then punched him in the face before stealing his wallet which contained cash and bank cards.

The attacker was white, around 5ft 9ins tall and aged about 20. He was wearing blue jeans and a blue t-shirt with horizontal white stripes.
