Firefighters were kept busy in Harpenden as they tackled a bin lorry fire.

Firefighters from Markyate fire station attended the blaze yesterday.

The front of the refuse vehicle was completely destroyed.

Firefighters tweeted: “@MarkyateFire attended a bin lorry on fire in Harpenden.

“Crews used 2 hose reels to extinguish the fire.”
