A PENSIONER died in a car park on Monday afternoon after suffering a suspected cardiac arrest.

A 72-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene in Russell Avenue after paramedics from the East of England Ambulance Service (EEAST) were called out following reports a man had collapsed.

The police and a paramedic crew from St Albans and Hertfordshire Air Ambulance was also called to the incident at around 1.05pm.

Circumstances are not thought to be suspicious but the death has been referred to the coroner.
