A MAN has his nose broken after being head-butted when an altercation broke out outside a Harpenden wine bar.

It happened in the High Street in the early hours of Sunday, November 21, when two men were outside Billy’s Bar and became involved in a shouting match. The assailant, who head-butted the victim and broke his nose, is described as a white man, aged 40 and bald.

Pc Mark Chipchase from the Harpenden Neighbourhood team, said police had footage of the incident and inquiries were at an advanced stage but he wanted to urge the assailant to come forward of his own accord first.

He also appealed to anyone who was around at the time of the assault to contact him on 0845 33 00 222 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.

Recently we, as a family (minus two of the kids), visited The Lodge RSPB reserve in Sandy, Bedfordshire. I had never been before, which is perhaps amiss of me as a birdwatcher as it is the headquarters of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds or RSPB and only 45 minutes drive from home.
