Commuters beware that one M1 lane is closed after a car crash this morning.

Between junction 12 and 13 northbound, heading away from St Albans, one out of the three lanes is shut because of the incident.

It is expected to clear by 9.45am, but normal traffic conditions will not return to normal until 10.15am.

Meanwhile, there is some slow moving congestion between the junctions.

Recently we, as a family (minus two of the kids), visited The Lodge RSPB reserve in Sandy, Bedfordshire. I had never been before, which is perhaps amiss of me as a birdwatcher as it is the headquarters of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds or RSPB and only 45 minutes drive from home.
