Motorists faced delays getting into St Albans city centre this morning following an accident on the Verulam Road.

Two vehicles were seen to have collided opposite popular eatery The Pudding Stop, although the circumstances of the accident are currently unknown.

Nobody was believed to have been seriously injured and police were in attendance shortly after 8am.
