Around 200 images, taken by members of the society at all skill levels, were displayed at the annual open event at High Street Methodist Church on Saturday, April 21.

Members of the public were able to vote for their favourite images, and the points were collated to decide the winners.
In first place was ‘Male Kingfisher Drying’ by Peter Wilson, second place went to ‘Fly Me To The Moon’ by Gerry Kelly, and third place went to ‘The Hand’ by Steve Collins.

This year the event received nearly 300 visitors who came to view and judge the photographs. The exhibition featured landscape, portrait and macro (close-up) photography, depicting a range of topics.

Chairman Peter Stevens said: “The society’s annual exhibition is a wonderful showcase of the very best work of our local photographers.”
