YEAR 11 students from Francis Bacon School were “delighted” with their long-awaited GCSE results, which were released yesterday (August, 23).

Pupils that performed exceptionally well with a number of A* and A grades included Adam Bassidi, Dominika Dziubek, Sanjna Kashyap and Bethany Nicholson.

Headteacher Matthew Gauthier said: “We are delighted with the students’ achievements this year. They have worked extremely hard and I am glad that they have reaped the reward from their efforts, and the majority will be staying on in the sixth form as we convert to the Samuel Ryder Academy.”
