Crash closes busy road junction

A BUSY St Albans road junction was closed after two cars crashed there this morning (Wednesday). The vehicles, a blue Ford Mondeo and a grey VW Polo, were involved in the accident in Green Lane and police closed the junction of the road with Batchwood Dri

A BUSY St Albans road junction was closed after two cars crashed there this morning (Wednesday).

The vehicles, a blue Ford Mondeo and a grey VW Polo, were involved in the accident in Green Lane and police closed the junction of the road with Batchwood Drive.

The fire brigade have been at the scene of the accident, which occurred shortly before 9am, and one person is believed to have been taken to hospital with leg injuries.

The junction is due to reopen shortly.
