Michelle Walker: 52, of Roman Way, Markyate, was given a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £300 costs and £20 towards victim services after dishonestly failing to notify Dacorum Council of a change of circumstances which would affect her entitlement to Housing Benefit, namely she was no longer resident in the UK, between May 18 2015 and November 15 2015 at St Albans.

Luis Almedida: 56, of Watling Street, Radlett, was fined £660 plus £85 costs and £66 towards victim services and was awarded six penalty points after failing to disclose the identity of the motorist using his Ford Transit when it was involved in speeding at 37mph along the 30mph A5135 Elstree Way, east of Manor Way, Borehamwood, on December 27, as required by Herts Police at Stevenage on February 1.

Rebecca Hills: 35, of Spicer Street, St Albans, was fined £50 plus £85 costs and £30 towards victim services, and was awarded three penalty points for speeding at 39mph in a Ford Ranger along the 30mph Drakes Drive, north of Frobisher Road, St Albans, on December 5.

Christopher Hodgkins: 60, of King Harry Lane, St Albans, was fined £255 plus £85 costs and £30 towards victim services, and was awarded three penalty points after speeding at 74mph in a Mercedes-Benz A 180 along the M25 between J24-23 on December 14 when there was a temporary 60mph speed limit in place.

Sandra Morant-Ribera: 34, of Station Road, Harpenden, was fined £499 plus £85 costs and £33 towards victim services, and was awarded seven penalty points for speeding in a Mini Mini One along the 30mph B653 Lower Luton Road, outside Lea Industrial Estate, Harpenden, at 38mph on November 14 and at 45mph on December 5.

Zachary Farr: 24, of Grimthorpe Close, St Albans, was banned from driving for six months due to repeat offending, and fined £180 plus £200 costs and £30 towards victim services after driving a Mercedes CLA without insurance between Hatfield and St Albans on September 25, and a further £50 for failing to surrender to custody at St Albans Magistrates’ Court on October 13.

Canute Thompson: 53, of Hazelwood Drive, St Albans, was banned from driving for six months due to repeat offending, and was fined £120 plus £85 costs and £30 towards victim services after driving a Ford Focus without insurance in Becketts Avenue, St Albans, on August 21.

James Hill: 42, of Lower Gustard Wood, Wheathampstead, was fined £220 plus £85 costs and £30 towards victim services, and was awarded three penalty points for speeding at 54mph in a Volvo XC90 along the 40mph A4147 Hemel Hempstead Road, east of Westwick Row, Hemel Hempstead, on December 24.

Karsten Kohler: 46, of Upton Close, Park Street, was fined £209 plus £85 costs and £30 towards victim services, after speeding at 38mph in a Nissan Navara along the 30mph A412 Rickmansworth Road, north-east of Cassiobury Park Avenue, Watford, on December 20.

Arran Neil: 38, of Garden Cottages, Frogmore, was fined £220 plus £85 costs and £30 towards victim services and was awarded six penalty points for driving a Seat Ibiza on the A4147 Catherine Street, St Albans, while using a handheld mobile phone on December 2.

Tony Teh: 59, of The Woods, Radlett, was fined £250 plus £85 costs and £30 towards victim services, and was awarded six penalty points for speeding at 52mph in a Vauxhall Corsa along the 30mph A5183 Elstree Hill South, north of Sullivan Way, Elstree, on January 17.

Laura Venneear: 39, of Brecken Close, St Albans, was fined £200 plus £85 costs and £30 towards victim services, and was awarded six penalty points after speeding at 50mph in a Kia Sportage along the 30mph B653 Lower Luton Road, Harpendne, on February 22.

Stephen Walker: 47, of Wroxham Way, Harpenden, was fined £165 plus £85 costs and £30 towards victim services, and was awarded three penalty points after speeding at 37mph in a Skoda Octavia Scout along the 30mph Leverstock Green Road at Hemel Hempstead on January 23.

Recently we, as a family (minus two of the kids), visited The Lodge RSPB reserve in Sandy, Bedfordshire. I had never been before, which is perhaps amiss of me as a birdwatcher as it is the headquarters of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds or RSPB and only 45 minutes drive from home.
