Terenzio Di Francesco: 63, of London Road, Flamstead, was fined £660 plus £85 costs and £66 towards victim services, and was awarded six penalty points for driving a Ford Fiesta without insurance on the A5 at Flamstead on May 20.

Amanda Gerson: 46, of Wynches Farm Drive, St Albans, was fined £220 plus £85 costs and £30 towards victim services, and was awarded three penalty points after speeding in a Ford Fiesta at 51mph along the 40mph A1057 Hatfield Road, near Wilkins Green Lane, St Albans, on June 25.

Philippa Havard: 56, of Hopkins Crescent, Sandridge, was fined £880 plus £85 costs and £66 towards victim services, and was awarded six penalty points after driving a Honda CRV along Griffiths Way, St Albans, on May 17, without insurance or a licence.

Craig Hodgson: 40, of New House Park, St Albans, was fined £220 plus £85 costs and £30 towards victim services, and was awarded three penalty points after speeding at 40mph in a Volvo V40 along the 30mph B556 Mutton Lane, east of Wroxham Gardens, Potters Bar, on June 28.

Joanna Olney: 49, of High Street, Sandridge, was fined £64 plus £85 costs and £30 towards victim services, and was awarded three penalty points for speeding at 48mph in a Volvo XC90 along the 40mph A414 St Albans Road, south-west of Leverstock Green Road, Hemel Hempstead, on July 15.

Jassel Patel: 42, of Juniper Road, Bricket Wood, was fined £50 plus £20 costs and £30 towards victim services, and was awarded three penalty points after speeding at 37mph in a Vauxhall Astra van along the 30mph A5183 Park Street, north of Burydell Lane, St Albans, on June 24.

Kurtis Alexander: 18, of Temple View, St Albans, was banned from driving for 24 months, and ordered to carry out 700 hours unpaid community work and pay £85 costs and £20 towards victim services, and was awarded eight penalty points after driving a Renault Laguna dangerously in Waddington Road and Folly Lane, St Albans, on October 23 2016, taking a Vauxhall Astra without the owner’s consent and driving without a licence in Temple View, St Albans, on April 10, and driving a MG ZR without insurance or a licence, and driving through a red traffic light in Upper Icknield Way, Bulbourne, on April 28.

Janice Flemming: 46, of Scrubbitts Square, Radlett, was given a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 costs and £20 towards victim services after assaulting a police constable in the execution of her duty, in Radlett on November 13.

William Shepherd: 75, of Buckwood Road, Markyate, was banned from driving for 17 months and fined £339 plus £85 costs and £33 towards victim services, after driving a Citroen C3 in Kimpton High Street on November 9 after consuming so much alcohol that a specimen revealed 63mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath.

Mzingaye Moyo: 28, of Artisan Crescent, St Albans, was fined £240 plus £500 costs and £30 towards victim services, and was awarded eight penalty points after driving a Mercedes Sprinter van in Artisan Crescent on June 5 without insurance, and then fly-tipping furniture and a duvet on allotments off the same road.

We were busy moving rotten pieces of wood from the side of the shed when suddenly I felt sharp stabbing pains in my lower legs. Before I had a chance to investigate my son started screaming in pain and it took a few more seconds to realize that we were trampling on a wasps’ nest!
