Tania Colyer: 41, of Grove Road, Harpenden, was banned from driving for 14 months and fined £400 plus £115 costs after giving a breath specimen of 47mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, in Grove Road, Harpenden on March 15.

David Stevens: 33, of Marshalls Way, Wheathampstead, was banned from driving for 15 months and fined £400 plus £125 costs after giving a breath specimen of 54mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath, in St Albans Road, Watford on April 6.

Vito Torrano: 52, of Harris Lane, Shenley, was banned from driving for 21 months and fined £100 plus £105 costs after giving a breath specimen of 89mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath, in Newcome Road, Shenley on April 7.

Philippa Babayode: 18, of St Annes Road, London Colney, £110, ordered to pay costs of £105 and disqualified from driving for 17 months, reduced to 17 weeks subject to satisfactorily completing a course after giving a sample of 68mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath while driving in Waverley Road, St Albans on April 9.

Lisa O’Connor: 31, of Sopwell Lane, St Albans was fined £110, ordered to pay costs of £105 and disqualfied from driving for 19 months after giving a sample of not less than 167mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood while driving on Cornwall Road, St Albans, on March 6.

Frances Hastings: 46, of Doggetts Way, St Albans, was fined £200 plus £140 costs after using a television without a licence at the above address on October 2.

Lesley Jell: 33, of Artisan Crescent, St Albans, was fined £400 plus £200 costs after using a television without a licence at the above address on November 26.

Vas Gog: 33, of Dellfield, St Albans, was fined £200 and ordered to pay costs of £140 for using a TV without a licence at the same address on November 26, 2013.

Tracy Bushby: 37, of Hatfield Road, St Albans, was fined £37 and ordered to pay costs of £60 for using a TV without a licence at the above address between October 20 and November 21, 2013.

Chiara Mcniff: 23, of Sandpit Lane, St Albans, was fined £200 and ordered to pay costs of £140 for using a TV without a licence at the above address between October 20 and November 21, 2013.

Jack Greaney: 23, of Chiltern Road, St Albans, was fined £115 and ordered to pay costs of £105 for being drunk and disorderly in a public place in St Albans on April 13.

Jade Edinburgh: 24, of Catherine Street, St Albans, was fined £110, ordered to pay costs of £520 and awarded five penalty points on her licence for driving without due care and attention on the Redbourn Road, Redbourn on September 30, 2012.

Dominica Leontie: 33, of Kings Road, London Colney was fined £160, ordered to pay costs of £102 and awarded four penalty points on her licence for driving without due care and attention at London Colney on August 13, 2013.

Karen Ward: 51, of Francis Avenue, St Albans, was fined £55 and ordered to pay costs of £95 for being in possession of a vehicle without insurance in St Albans on October 24, 2013.

Charlie Freeman: 20, of Reed Close, London Colney, was fined £30 and ordered to pay costs of £40 for possessing a grinder of cannabis in St Albans on April 14.

Sylvanus Mason: 30, of Dymoke Green, St Albans, was fined £60 and ordered to pay costs of £105 for possessing a small bag of cannabis at Hatfield on May 1.

Danny Smith: 23, of Monks Close, St Albans, was fined £110 and ordered to pay costs of £105 for having in his custody or under his control without lawful authority or excuse a counterfeit of a currency note in St Albans on March 7.

Stephen Grant: 60, of North Cottages, Napsbury was made subject to a liability order for non-payment of child support to the value of £4,042.

David Brice: 22, of London Road, Shenley, was fined £200 and ordered to pay compensation of £9.20 and costs of £140 for failing to hand over a ticket for inspection while travelling by train at Radlett station on January 31.

Martin Maloney: 20, of Laxton Garden, Shenley was fined £200 and ordered to pay compensation of £6.70 and costs of £140 for entering a train with the purpose of travelling without a valid ticket at Radlett on January 31.

Victoria Coren Clifferd: 26, of Newcombe Road, Shenley, was fined £400 and ordered to pay compensation of £3.90 and costs of £160 without having paid her fare at St Albans station on January 25.

Jennifer Richardson: 41, of Norris Close, London Colney, was fined £37 and ordered to pay compensation of £14.10 and costs of £140 for entering a train with the intention of travelling without a valid ticket at St Albans on January 15.

Recently we, as a family (minus two of the kids), visited The Lodge RSPB reserve in Sandy, Bedfordshire. I had never been before, which is perhaps amiss of me as a birdwatcher as it is the headquarters of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds or RSPB and only 45 minutes drive from home.
