Laptop stolen from St Albans home after burglars smash glass door

Burglars smashed a glass door open to ransack a home on Cell Barnes Lane in St Albans.

The house was unoccupied between 7pm and 8.30pm when burglars broke in on Monday, April 16 and stole a Hewlett Packard (HP) laptop and cash.

Police have asked anyone who saw anything suspicious, or has any information, to call them on 101 and give crime reference number F1/18/1789.

Recently we, as a family (minus two of the kids), visited The Lodge RSPB reserve in Sandy, Bedfordshire. I had never been before, which is perhaps amiss of me as a birdwatcher as it is the headquarters of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds or RSPB and only 45 minutes drive from home.
