TWO cars collided at a busy motorway junction on Monday morning.

Emergency services were called to Mount Pleasant Lane in Bricket Wood at around 9.30am following the crash between a black Mercedes and a silver Eunos Roadster. The accident happened where the lane meets the slip road on and off the M1 southbound.

Firefighters and ambulance crews were called because one of the drivers was unable to get out of his car but he didn't require medical treatment.

The vehicles were recovered by about 10.15am.
