A CAR was deliberately set alight in a residential street at the weekend.

The grey Subaru went up in flames in Windmill Avenue, St Albans, just before 11pm last night (Sunday).

Firefighters were called to put out the blaze and police are investigating. Any accidental cause to the incident was ruled out by fire investigators and it is being treated as criminal damage.
