AFTER a woman flipped her car over outside St Albans fire station this morning, fire crews are warning drivers of the dangers of winter driving.

She was coming down London Road towards London Colney just after 8am and swerved and hit a barrier, causing her car to flip over.

The woman crawled out of the vehicle and ambulance crews and police were called, however she suffered no injuries.

Drivers are being advised to be careful on the roads due to the seasonal bright, low sun and to make sure they clean their windows properly.

Recently we, as a family (minus two of the kids), visited The Lodge RSPB reserve in Sandy, Bedfordshire. I had never been before, which is perhaps amiss of me as a birdwatcher as it is the headquarters of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds or RSPB and only 45 minutes drive from home.
