Car crash closes road

A ROAD was closed for an hour this morning (Monday) after a car overturned. The accident happened at around 6.20am along Sandpit Lane, St Albans, near the junction with Marshalswick Lane. No other cars were involved and the driver of the green Renault Cli

A ROAD was closed for an hour this morning (Monday) after a car overturned.

The accident happened at around 6.20am along Sandpit Lane, St Albans, near the junction with Marshalswick Lane.

No other cars were involved and the driver of the green Renault Clio was uninjured in the incident. The road was closed until 7.30am while the vehicle was removed.

Recently we, as a family (minus two of the kids), visited The Lodge RSPB reserve in Sandy, Bedfordshire. I had never been before, which is perhaps amiss of me as a birdwatcher as it is the headquarters of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds or RSPB and only 45 minutes drive from home.
