Body found on grounds of St Albans social club

The body of a man in his 50s has been found on the grounds of a social club in St Albans.

A spokeswoman for Herts Police said that officers were called to Marlborough Club, off Cottonmill Lane, at 7.30am on Saturday (17) after receiving reports of a body being found at the site by a member of the public.

She said that the death was not being treated as suspicious, and had been referred to the Coroner’s Court.

There was no further information available.
