A 31-year-old woman from St Albans was reported missing on Wednesday December 1 and police are appealing for the public’s help to trace her.

Gillian Forrest of College Place is 4ft 11ins tall and of medium build. She has straight, shoulder-length blonde hair and blue eyes .

DS Nina Winfield who is investigating Gillian’s disappearance said: “We are extremely concerned for Gillian’s safety and would ask anybody who has seen her to contact police as soon as possible on the non-emergency number 0845 33 00 222.”

Recently we, as a family (minus two of the kids), visited The Lodge RSPB reserve in Sandy, Bedfordshire. I had never been before, which is perhaps amiss of me as a birdwatcher as it is the headquarters of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds or RSPB and only 45 minutes drive from home.
