There has been a second attempted burglary on a St Albans street, less than a day after another.

Between 9.30 and 12.30 on Sunday, February 25, burglars got into a conservatory at a property on Elm Drive, near to the junction with Woodland Drive in the Fleetville area of the city.

The burglars could not force their way into the house so they left.

This incident took place just around the corner from the scene of three other incidents over the weekend on Oakwood Drive and Hazelwood Drive.

Anyone with any information on the Elm Drive burglary has been asked to contact 101 and give the crime reference F1/18/959.

Recently we, as a family (minus two of the kids), visited The Lodge RSPB reserve in Sandy, Bedfordshire. I had never been before, which is perhaps amiss of me as a birdwatcher as it is the headquarters of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds or RSPB and only 45 minutes drive from home.
