Motorists are warned of possible delays after firefighters tackled a vehicle blaze on the A414.

Both St Albans fire engines attended the scene on the A414 between Park Street and London Colney this morning.

They urged motorists to avoid the area if possible.

The fire service tweeted at about 7am: “We are in attendance at a vehicle fire - delays likely.”

Crews used a hose reel and breathing apparatus while dealing with the fire.
