SIR, - One of your correspondents wrote (Herts Advertiser, February 5) of difficulties experienced having a photo digitally reduced to fit his bus pass. I think he has stumbled upon a basic fault with digital cameras.

For instance when I look into my shaving mirror I see someone middle-aged, ruggedly handsome with that quizzical James Bond look.

When I see a photo of myself, I see a scarcely recognisable , balding, wrinkly old man.

There's something the matter with cameras these days.
