Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Book Review
Along with thousands of other people across the country, I queued up at midnight on Saturday for the final instalment of Harry Potter: "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" by J.K Rowling. It has been highly anticipated by people all over the world and it did not disappoint. The action-packed first chapters were only a taste of what the rest of the book held.
Lord Voldermort and the Death Eaters take control of the Ministry of Magic whilst Harry, Ron and Hermione are searching for the Horcruxes that contain parts of Voldermort's soul. An epic battle takes place in Hogwarts, during which any Harry fan will cry buckets, but an epilogue set nineteen years later leaves the reader pleased with what happens to the surviving characters after they have left Hogwarts.
Although some may say that it's full of death and too many well loved characters perish, I believe that in order for the book to be realistic, Harry coudn't grapple with Voldermort without damage being done. The deaths were necessary to show the sacrifices that have to be made in war. I therefore think that it's a book for everyone to read and is a gripping finale to the series.
