Castle confirms Bailey departure

ST ALBANS City boss Steve Castle has confirmed that Alex Bailey has left the club.

The former Arsenal man has been released due to budgetary constraints after making 35 appearances for the club.

Castle said following Saturday's defeat at Bromley: "Finances have dictated that I can't carry people on his sort of money that aren't going to be playing in the team regularly. I've got to do as I'm told, there's a budget and it's got to be kept to."

Bailey was in his second spell with the club having been released, again due to budget constraints, in October of last year.
