2484 (Bassingbourn) Squadron

2484 (Bassingbourn) Squadron are currently looking for young men and women between 13 and 17 to join the Squadron based on Bassingbourn Barracks.

The Squadron meets every Monday and Wednesday between 18:45 and 21:45 on the barracks at Bassingbourn in its purpose built brand new headquarters. Currently parading 30+ Cadets the Squadron is going from strength to strength and is looking to expand and establish itself as the premier youth organisation in the area.

Cadets take part in an active and varied training program including:

- Flying
- Gliding
- Target Shooting
- Sports
- Leadership Training
- Communication
- Teamwork
- UK and Overseas Camps
- Fieldcraft Training
- Adventure Training

Alonside this we also run the following qualifications:

- First Aid (From Young Lifesaver Plus to First Aid at Work)
- Duke of Edinburghs Award (Free entry into the scheme)
- BTECs (In Aviation Studies and Uniformed Services equivilant to five GCSEs)
