Is it me, please tell me.
Getting a taxi from Hitchin to go to Henlow is £11, after 11pm it doubles. This is not estimated as this is on the meter I thought it was just a one off but I got a taxi coming back late from work and I had to give the taxi which cost £22 as this was after 11pm.
I know go to Biggleswade where they only charge me £13!
This works out to be more expensive then London, does anyone else share my views or as I wrote, is it just me?!

Sorry to hear that you may have been overcharged, Henlow can easily be between £11.00 & £13.00 from Hitchin, but double time does not start in Hitchin until 2.00am, however it is plus 50% from Midnight to 2.00am, it seems to me that unless it’s after 2.00 am and before 5.30am then you are being overcharged, why not stick with one company and pre book, then in the unlikely event that you do get overcharged you will have a first point of contact to complain to, for guidance Hitchin official Taxi charges work out at about £3.50 for the first mile and £1.80 per mile after that so a 5.2 mile journey should be about £11-00 normal time, hope this helps.
If you have Driver and or vehicle details and wish to report being overcharged then I can put you in contact with the correct Council department as drivers overcharging do our trade no favours what so ever and I will willingly help you report them.
Do please give my company a try, you may well be charged plus 50% after midnight or plus 100% after 2.ooam but not before and DO let me know if this is not the case or you do not get the service you expect.
